First Class Human Resources Development Prize to ADCB

In a prestigious ceremony held yesterday among the activities of the Ninth Emiratisation Fair in the Banking Sector attended by a number of U.A.E. high ranking officials, executive bankers and businessmen, H.H. Dr. Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council, the Ruler of Sharjah, handed to ADCB the First Class Human Resources Development Prize in the U.A.E. Banking and Financial Sector for the year 2006, organized by the U.A.E. Banking Sector Human Resources Development Committee.
H.H. Dr. Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi commended on the efforts exerted by ADCB and its Board of Directors, in the field of the emiratisation and supporting U.A.E. nationals to join this vital sector through granting them with good employment opportunities.
Upon receiving the award, H.E. Saeed Mubarak Al-Hajeri, ADCB’s Chairman, expressed the Bank’s profound thankfulness and appreciation to H.H. Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi on commending the Bank for such an achievement and for the award of the Best Bank in the field of emiratisation.
“We shall pursue our efforts to implement the Emiratisation Plan set by ADCB, reflecting the ambitions of our wise leadership for the creation of the U.A.E. leaders of the future in the Banking Sector”, said Al-Hajeri. He also added that “This success corresponds with the government’s endeavours for the emiratisation of the banking sector and in the implementation of the government’s decisions aiming at increasing the number of national competencies in this vital sector of the economy”. He also confirmed that “The Bank has succeeded in achieving a high percentage of emiratisation in most of its departments, divisions and branches all over the United Arab Emirates”.
“ADCB is in the course of implementing an ambitious training plan for the U.A.E. nationals to provide them with the necessary skills for shouldering their responsibilities in the Banking Sector and to fulfill their assignments to the best. This training plan comes in line with the long term emiratisation strategy set by the Board of Directors to attract more U.A.E. nationals to join the Banking Sector through a five year plan ending by 2010. U.A.E. nationals are encouraged to join our Bank at all levels, whether in the Head Office or any of our 39 branches all over the United Arab Emirates. This emiratisation strategy aims at securing a prosperous future for U.A.E. youth through proper careers in this important sector of the national economy”, Al-Hajeri concluded.
