Abu Dhabi, 11 December 2011: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (“ADCB”) has been awarded “Financial Institution of the Year” at the ACC 3rd Annual International GRC & Financial Crimes Conference and Exhibition, held at the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa in Dubai. The award was presented in recognition of the Bank’s excellent initiatives in Corporate Governance, protecting stakeholders' interests and raising investor trust and confidence.
During the ceremony, Rami Raslan, Assistant Secretary to Board of Directors and Assistant Head of Corporate Governance at ADCB, was selected to receive the award for Corporate Governance Officer of the Year, recognizing him as an exceptional achiever in the corporate governance space across the region. As one of only a few Arabic speaking qualified chartered secretaries worldwide, Rami holds the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators – UK qualification, earning reputable presence in the UAE and the corporate governance community.

The ACC 3rd Annual International GRC & Financial Crimes Conference and Exhibition was held to provide an un-matched comprehensive, engaging and informative learning experience with a networking opportunity for industry professionals, delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors from around the world.
