Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a globally accepted initiative to help secure the card payment transactions. As part of the regulatory and card scheme requirements, all stakeholders have to secure their card portfolio and the data being processed through the payment system network are secured.
The PCI DSS initiative will help build and maintain a secure network, protect cardholder data, maintain a vulnerability management program, implement strong access control measures, regularly monitor and test networks and maintain an information security policy.
