ADCB sponsors the 3rd Middle East SME Forum 2012
Abu Dhabi, 15 September 2012:Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (“ADCB”) announced today that it will be the Headline Sponsor of the 3rd Middle East SME Forum 2012, taking place on 17-18 September 2012 at the Rocco Forte Hotel, Abu Dhabi. ADCB has decided to upgrade its association with the forum based on very encouraging response from the participants at the event held last year. ADCB was one of the strategic sponsors at previous year’s event. The forum which will be held over two days will see leaders from all sides of the business world, come together to discuss the vital role the SME sector plays in the continuous economical development. Presentations, discussions and case studies will touch on SME ecosystem in the Middle East environment, challenges and opportunities towards business start-ups and also best practices in the region’s SME sector.
On this occasion, Mr. Nilanjan Ray, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Banking at ADCB said: “At ADCB we actively support the small and medium enterprises; we have a deep understanding of the contribution this segment can bring to the overall development of the UAE economy and ensure sustainable development. During the conference, attendees of the summit will gain access to entrepreneurs, business leaders, commercial banks, private equity firms and management consultants there will also be representatives from government departments.
Some of the important issues that will be discussed at the forum will include, “understanding how the SME ecosystem works in the Middle East”, “combatting the challenges faced by SMEs in growing their business”, and “on-going government and private sector initiatives towards SME development.”
