ADCB Celebrates "Mahara" First Trainee Batch

Abu Dhabi, 30 Nov 2008: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank celebrated, in a graduation ceremony, the first trainee batch of young UAE nationals upon completion of a four-month program "Mahara Emarati Academy", which was initiated by The Learning & Organizational Development Department in ADCB. The program covers business English, banking basics, customer service, banking products and services and branch and departmental rotations and is run by highly experienced consultants and includes business simulation games and continuous assessments. The 23 graduated trainees will be placed on-the-job training in their preferred departments and branches and launched onto a successful career in banking. H.E. Eissa Al Suwaidi, Chairman, ADCB, Mr. Ala'a Eraiqat, Deputy CEO, ADCB and members of senior management were among the attendees in the ceremony that was held in the ADCB Head Office building.

In realization of the Emiratization strategy to which the Bank is committed, "Mahara Emarati Academy" is targeted to granting the UAE nationals real career opportunities in the banking sector as well as providing them with the training necessary to enhance and develop their skills and performance.
