ADCB's Emiratization efforts praised by Maktoum bin Mohammed

Abu Dhabi, 26 May 2009: H. H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, presented ADCB with a special recognition for its successful Emiratization programme and ongoing commitment to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals.
The accolade was received by Mr. Sultan Al Mahmoud, Head of Human Resources, ADCB at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) Annual Graduation Ceremony held in Dubai World Trade Center 24the May, 2008.

Three years ago, ADCB and Emirates Nationals Development Programme (ENDP) had partnered to ensure the highest standards for the development of UAE national talent. Through this partnership and by the end of period 2007-2008, over 300 of UAE national trainees had joined "Mahara Emarati Academy" training programme initiated by the Learning & Organizational Development Department in ADCB, which falls within the process of the implementation of the Bank's ambitious training plan for the UAE nationals to help them acquire the necessary skills for shouldering their responsibilities in the banking sector and fulfilling their assignments to the best to secure a prosperous future career.

Mr. Sultan Al Mahmoud, Head of Human Resources, ADCB said" We are very proud to be credited for our successful march towards Emiratization, which has always been one of the Bank's strategic goals and is at the top of our priorities. In ADCB, we are dedicated to recruiting, training and developing the best UAE nationals to strengthen the national competencies in the banking sector."
During the graduation ceremony, one of ENDP's former trainees, Abdulla Al Shehhi, now a customer service officer in our Fujeirah branch, ADCB shared with the audience in a short speech his experience from the day of recruitment to the day of job placement.
