20 October 2010

Abu Dhabi, 20 Oct 2010: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank announced its participation as a co-sponsor in the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum 2010. The forum was held in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and Institutional Investor, and took place on 20th October 2010. ADCB's Chief Executive Officer, Ala'a Eraiqat, was one of the participating members in a Banking and Finance panel.

The forum discussed and highlighted the extensive trade and investment opportunities that Abu Dhabi is making available to the global investment community, and it brought Abu Dhabi's key companies and top-level policy-makers together with high-profile investors from Asia, Europe and the US.

The event also aimed to shed light on the strategic position of Abu Dhabi as the centre of investment, business, tourism, culture, real estate and construction in the UAE. ADCB's participation in the forum was to focus on the role of banks as pioneering organisations in the fields of real estate, infrastructure, clean energy and sustainable development.

Ala'a Eraiqat, Chief Executive Officer of ADCB, commented: "Our sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum reflects our commitment to building further on the success of Abu Dhabi, highlighting the Emirates growth and increasing its appeal to top level policy makers from across the globe. The Forum provides an opportunity for all Abu Dhabi companies to showcase the extensive trade and investment opportunities the Emirate has to offer investors from Asia, Europe and the US, as well as those domestically, highlighting how both Abu Dhabi and the region can maintain growth over the coming years."

"The banking sector has played a pivotal role in bolstering the economic development of the UAE. Banks have worked hard, and continue to work hard to help increase the investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi that are available to the global investment community. At ADCB, we feel that it is vital we are able to demonstrate this on an international level." Ala'a concluded.
