Abu Dhabi, 12 April 2011: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has been awarded the Best SME Account award for the Bank's ''BusinessEdge'' suite of products offered by the SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) Banking Division. ADCB received the award at the prestigious Banker Middle East Product Awards 2011, during a ceremony attended by a large number of regional and international bankers.

Over 30,000 votes were cast by registered readers of Banker Middle East and its sister publications, Islamic Business & Finance, WEALTH and Finance ME to determine the winners in each category across the 23 awards given at the ceremony.

The award follows ADCB's recent win at the Asian Banker Awards for the Best Retail Bank in the UAE and GCC in 2010. Last year the Bank was also awarded Best SME Bank in MENA at the Banker Middle East Awards 2010.

Mr. Nilanjan Ray, Head of SME at ADCB, said: "ADCB is proud to accept the "Best SME Account" award as it demonstrates our advances in the Bank's SME business. 2011 has been a wonderful year for ADCB as we are recognised for our continuous efforts in providing quality services and products to our customer base. We hope to continue to provide excellent services and achieve the standards and customer support needed to be considered for such esteemed awards."

Mr. Howard Gaunt, Head - Business Banking Group, said "The high profile award from Banker Middle East demonstrates international recognition for the core businesses of ADCB and the robustness of the Bank's operations against current macroeconomic challenges. ADCB is the third largest bank in the UAE and has been consistently focused on growing and supporting the SME segment. The Bank offers a complete suite of products that specifically designed to fit the SME requirements under its ADCB BusinessEdge branded service."
