Taking a Stand for a Sustainable Future: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank turns off its lights for "Earth Hour"

Abu Dhabi, 20 March 2013: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank "ADCB" is participating in the global event, "Earth Hour" 2013 on Saturday 23 March at 8:30 pm, in an endeavor to promote energy saving behavior amongst the society by turning off the lights for one hour. ADCB will actively take part and action to combat climate change by turning off the lights as well as all unnecessary appliances at its headquarters as well as in the rest of its branches in the Emirate for an hour.

ADCB is committed to conserving the environment and has introduced a number of initiatives within the organization to reduce its environmental impact. Through its participation in Earth Hour, ADCB reaffirms this commitment.

'Earth Hour' is a globally celebrated event organized by Emirates Wildlife Society in corporation with the World Wildlife Fund. The campaign was initiated in Australia as a gesture to send the community a message that reducing energy consumption and being environmentally responsible can be achieved.
