Senior Dealer – Foreign Exchange
Senior dealers on our foreign exchange (FX) desk are critical to ADCB’s sustained success, not only because of the income they generate but also because of the risk management function the group performs through hedging strategies. Trading in Group of Ten (G10) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) currencies, our senior dealers serve the Bank’s corporate, government and financial institution clients every day by providing competitive foreign exchange pricing for Treasury and Investment products.
ADCB clients also benefit from our dealers’ expertise in negotiating terms on foreign exchange offerings, plus finding alternative sources of funding and attractive investment options created through swaps into other currencies. Services include covering large currency transactions in interbank FX markets to offset risk, while tracking customer orders on the intraday and overnight markets.
Beyond executing trades, ADCB senior dealers review market conditions, trends and macro-economic data to provide clients with updates on emerging developments likely to have an impact on the financial markets. They develop proposals and presentations to clients, write investment reports and groom junior staff for new responsibilities and professional advancement.
