Health, Safety & Wellbeing

ZERO work-related fatalities between 2010 and 2017*

ADCB invests in many programmes that help maintain our employees' health, provide a safe work environment and encourage work-life balance. We provide medical insurance to all of our employees, their spouses and dependents (up to three children under 18 years of age), with appropriate differentiation, depending on employment level. To promote workplace safety, our full-time Health & Safety Officer holds regular fire-safety training and fire drills in all Bank branches and operational premises. To foster work-life balance, we have adopted many procedures to encourage employees to take their annual leave and have created an internal policy and practices to encourage management and employees to fully utilise their leave.

Promoting Good Health

Promoting good health and well-being has been an ongoing focus area for ADCB, with several ongoing initiatives and activities promoted to our staff and the community.

For several years, ADCB has been delivering free Health & Wealth check-ups to the community through roadshows hosted at select ADCB branches and sales centres throughout the UAE, in collaboration with a prominent medical provider. Customers, staff and members of the public were invited to receive free basic health tests (blood pressure, BMI and blood sugar), complimentary vouchers and discounts on other select medical services and informative literature. The Roadshows also provide a comprehensive wealth and financial planning session, during which customers were given the opportunity to meet with dedicated ADCB Relationship Managers and have their current financial circumstances, liquidity position, and short-term as well as long-term plans reviewed.
