ADCB Islamic Bank JSC – Established in 2010, ADCB Islamic Bank is the first Islamic bank in Kazakhstan and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). ADCB Islamic Bank provides a comprehensive range of Shari’ah-compliant banking services to corporate and institutional clients, including various financing structures and cash management solutions.

Corporate banking solutions for business

In 2024, Al Hilal Islamic Bank JSC was rebranded to ADCB Islamic Bank JSC to reinforce its focus on corporate banking services in Kazakhstan, and its support for clients active in key economic corridors through ADCB Group’s strategic presence across Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. ADCB Islamic Bank’s head office is located in Almaty, with office also in Astana.

ADCB Islamic Bank is 100% owned by ADCB. ADCB itself, which is listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), has a strong shareholder base, anchored by a 60.69% stake held by Mubadala Investment Company, the Abu Dhabi-based sovereign investor. ADCB has diverse ownership, with a growing share of foreign institutional shareholders from over 75 countries. ADCB’s strong balance sheet is reflected in its investment-grade credit ratings of “A” from S&P and “A+” from Fitch.
