Emiratisation at ADCB
More than 40 percent of our staff are UAE nationals
With more than 40% of our staff being UAE nationals, ADCB’s Emiratisation strategy has been recognised with Best Emiratisation Awards for the past four years. Helping drive our success is the Emarati Academy, which aims to ensure that high school and university graduates are fully prepared for branch or departmental roles, with the necessary knowledge and training to equip them for success.
MAHARA is an Emirati Academy program that familiarises UAE national trainees with ADCB-specific conventional and Islamic individual and corporate banking products and services, in the context of the UAE financial services industry.
In 2014, ADCB launched ‘Tamooha’, a new employment initiative for Emirati women offering flexible working arrangements. ‘Tamooha’ is the first of its kind initiative in the Middle East banking sector, and is part of ADCB’s ambition to promote Emiratisation at various levels in line with the directives of the UAE’s leadership, creating an appropriate environment for Emirati women to help them achieve their ambitions to lead a successful career path in financial services
