Credit analysts in our Wholesale Banking Group serve a pivotal function in evaluating counterparty credit risk. Our analysts take pride in their ability to forecast borrowers’ future financial condition and in applying the Bank’s Uniform Credit Culture to manage our overall risk profile.
A credit analyst’s research involves more than examining an individual borrower’s finances. He or she must probe diverse industries and competitors to gather background information on products and management, plus follow business media extensively to track new developments and emerging issues that could affect accounts.
These professionals collaborate with our Credit function to resolve credit issues and work in partnership with relationship officers on new transactions and renewals. Sharing best practices with colleagues is critical, as is supporting a culture of teamwork to collectively uphold our credit risk standards.
