Ala’a M Eraiqat joined ADCB in January 2004 and since then has held various senior posts, before taking over as Chief Executive Officer and also becoming a member of ADCB’s Board of Directors in February 2009. He previously held senior positions at Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank, among others.

His responsibilities extend to chairing the following subsidiaries and committees of ADCB, among others: Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties, Abu Dhabi Commercial Engineering Services, Al Dhabi Brokerage, Management Executive Committee and Management Risk & Credit Committee.

Mohamed D Al Khoori has 23 years of experience in asset management. Since 2008 Mohamed D Al Khoori has been the Executive Director of the Internal Equities Department at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.

In May 2004, Mohamed D Al Khoori was nominated by the Government of Abu Dhabi to join the ADCB Board of Directors. He was subsequently elected in April 2006 by ADCB shareholders to act as an ADCB Director, and, in March 2009, by the Government of Abu Dhabi.

Salem M Al Ameri is currently the Executive Director of the Private Equity Department of the Abu Dhabi Investment Council (since May 2007).

Prior to being appointed by Abu Dhabi Investment Council to join the ADCB Board of Directors in May 2007, Salem M Al Ameri spent 9 years with ADIA. During that time he was the Head of the Rest of the World region in ADIA’s Private Equities Department.

Khalid D Al Suwaidi has approximately 14 years of banking experience, having held senior management positions with National Bank of Abu Dhabi and First Gulf Bank.

After a brief period as an Assistant Professor in Finance at a Parisian university, Jean-Paul P Villain joined Banque Paribas in 1971, moving from Portfolio Manager to Head of Investments in the asset management department. In 1982, he joined ADIA as the Regional Manager for Europe before being appointed Senior Fund Manager. He returned to Paribas in 1987 to become the first Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer of newly created Paribas Asset Management. In 1992 he returned to ADIA as Regional Manager for Europe, and was subsequently appointed Adviser and then Senior Adviser for Investment Strategy. He is currently the Director of the Strategy Unit at HH the Managing Director’s Office, ADIA.

In 2007, the President of the French Republic made Jean-Paul P Villain Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur.

In May 2004 Jean-Paul P Villain was appointed by the Government of Abu Dhabi to join the ADCB Board of Directors.

ADCB appointed Gerry Grimstone as adviser to its Board of Directors with effect from 1 January 2013. Mr Grimstone brings significant international expertise and experience in investment banking and the financial services industry, and serving on the boards of public and private sector companies.

He was previously a senior investment banker at Schroders and an official in the UK’s HM Treasury. He was responsible for privatisation and policy for state-owned enterprise and helped oversee HM Treasury’s Operational Efficiency Programme. He has also served as one of the UK’s business ambassadors.
