Protect Your Password

Passwords are used to authenticate your identity and protecting access to your financial information. A compromised or leaked password can result in the misuse of your personal information, bank account information, and correspondence.

Do

• If you suspect that your Internet Banking password has been compromised, change your password immediately and report the incident to the Bank.
• Disable the “Auto Complete” or “Remember Password” features in your web browser when accessing Internet Banking systems.
• Update your passwords regularly.
• Always close the web browser window after logging out of the Internet Banking site.

Don’t

• Disclose your PIN or password to anyone, including bank staff. ADCB will NEVER ask for these details.
• Use predictable passwords such as your birth date or name. Internet Passwords should be alphanumeric (e.g., pencil37).
• Store passwords on your computer.
