How we mitigate and manage risk



ADCB’s consistent and sustainable performance depends on the Bank’s ability to successfully mitigate and manage risk at every level.

ADCB has rolled out an increased data protection programme in line with the UAE Central Bank Consumer Protection Framework. We also carried out an extensive review and update of the Group’s privacy notices, including the way we manage and process cookies, and updated our policies to strengthen our commitment to transparency and consumer rights.

Employee awareness and reporting of potential cyber breaches and attacks are key. Individual KPIs now incorporate quantifiable, measurable risk and compliance metrics to ensure each employee’s accountability.

We have introduced mandatory data privacy training modules on the Bank’s e-learning platform, covering compliance, operational risk management and information security modules – along with our regular internal cybersecurity awareness campaigns and training.

Our dedicated privacy office is responsible for monitoring regulatory requirements and overseeing any necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance – helping the Group to continue to adopt international best-practice and offer the greatest protection to our stakeholders.
