  • ADCB has discontinued the use of SMS One-Time Password (OTP) for authenticating online Credit and Debit Card transactions effective 28th February 2026.

Eliminates the need to wait for SMS or manually enter authentication codes
Authorises your transactions through biometric verification

How it works?

Step 1: In place of a SMS OTP you will receive a push notification through the ADCB Mobile Banking App.

Step 2: Tap the push notification or open the app and go to the ADCB SecurePass section to approve the transaction.

Step 3: Once approved, please return to the merchant’s website or app to complete your payment.

Important Note

  • Always ensure an active internet connection in order to receive push notifications.
  • Always ensure biometric authentication is enabled on your device.
