ADCB MoneySense is a financial responsibility programme that offers the necessary financial skills to effectively manage one's finances. Developed with the support of the Emirates Foundation, ADCB created MoneySense to provide our stakeholders with practical information, tips and tools that educate on how to better manage money, make informed judgments and take effective decisions to support reaching one's goals and ambitions.

MoneySense is the first financial literacy programme of its kind in the UAE, covering topics of relevance including budgeting, setting and reaching savings goals, responsible borrowing, and planning for the future. To learn more, download the PDF.

Over 1,000 UAE residents and Nationals inducted*

MoneySense formally launched in 2017, following a pilot project that ran from late 2016 to the end of 1Q-2017, which enabled us to refine our community outreach strategy. During 2017, MoneySense inducted over 1,000 UAE residents and UAE Nationals. A broad community outreach approach was adopted which included the delivery of complimentary workshops that practically demonstrated the learnings by using characters and real life-scenarios to illustrate the benefits of applying the best practices. These workshops were extended to our own staff and those of corporate clients, to UAE Nationals through the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment's (MBRHE) DECOBUILD 2017 event, which supports the grant MBRHE programme for UAE Nationals who qualify to buy housing or plots of land to construct their homes, and to new joiner teachers through the Ministry of Education's induction programme. MoneySense has also been integrated into our monthly Health and Wealth Roadshow, which provides complimentary medical tests and financial health checks to the community across the UAE.

Our support of the Emirates Foundation and financial literacy has also seen ADCB staff participation in the Emirates Foundation's Esref Sah Shabaab Club, a train-the-trainer programme which provided ADCB staff volunteers with comprehensive training on sound financial money management principles and enabled them to do outreach activities and train fellow UAE national youth through activities organized by the Emirates Foundation.
