Your security is important. There has been an increase in fraudulent emails, SMS messages and online communications claiming to be from the banks or trusted organisations. These messages are designed to trick individuals into clicking malicious links or sharing confidential information.

Stay alert and remember:

  • Bank will never request your banking credentials, passwords, OTPs, card details or account information through email, SMS, URL links or phone calls.
  • Do not click on any link asking you to update your account, verify your identity or unlock your services.
  • Do not respond to messages that appear to be from your bank asking you to “confirm”, “verify”, “update” your details or “reactivate” your account.
  • If you receive any suspicious communication, please delete it immediately and report it to your bank through its official contact channels.

Security tips

  • Always access banking services directly through your bank’s official website or the bank’s Mobile App.
  • Never share your Emirates ID details, account information, passwords or OTPs with anyone.
  • Be cautious of unsolicited offers that appear “too good to be true”.

If you receive any suspicious emails or messages asking for personal information, requesting you to update details, offering unusual financial products or facilities, or if you believe you have been targeted by fraud, report it immediately through your bank’s official contact channels. Stay vigilant, stay informed, and protect your personal information at all times. For essential tips on recognising and preventing fraud, please click here.

Stay Safe online with authentic websites

If you are unsure about the authenticity of a website, you can visit the UAE Government’s Stay Safe platform:
Stay Safe Website URL https://staysafe.csc.gov.ae/home

Simply copy and paste any website link you are unsure of into Stay Safe and it will check multiple sources for you to see if the site is a scam, phishing attempt or legitimate website.

Please note these sources are not complete or error-free, as new types of phishing attempts and well-hidden scams may not be identifiable.

Stay Safe is one of the many tools and checks available, and additional measures should always be taken to verify the authenticity of a website.
