Business Choice Account

What are the eligibility criteria for applying for a business account?

Any business entity incorporated in the UAE with a valid commercial license issued by a relevant UAE government authority can apply for a Business Choice Account.

What are the different types of business accounts available?

  • Business Choice Account – for day-to-day business banking requirements; available with three package options (Gold, Silver, and Platinum).
  • Smart Start Account – customized for start-ups and micro-SME businesses requiring only UAE-based transactions in AED.
  • e-business Account – for online business entities.

What documents are required to open a business account?

To open a business account you require the below documents:

  • Trade License and commercial registration (as applicable)
  • Power of Attorney (if applicable)
  • Passport or Emirates Identity (for UAE citizens and residents) of authorized signatory and partners (if applicable), including ultimate beneficial owners
  • Company address proof
  • Partnership Deed, Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Board Resolution authorizing the account opening

Are there any restrictions on Smart Start Accounts?

Smart Start Accounts are restricted for transactions within the UAE in AED; outward or inward foreign currency/cross border transactions are not allowed through this account.

Smart Start Account clients can request a Business Choice Account, which is enabled for foreign currency transactions, after a period of one year.

Can I open Islamic business accounts?

Yes, all three business account types are available as fully Shari’ah-compliant variants from ADCB Islamic Banking.

What is the minimum monthly average balance for each of the business account types?

Are there any account maintenance charges applicable to business accounts?

Yes. The following account maintenance charges are applicable by account type:

How can I access my account through the internet?

You can conveniently access your account through ADCB Personal Internet Banking (IB) and the ADCB Mobile Banking (MIB) App.

How can I register for ADCB Personal Internet Banking?

To register for ADCB Internet Banking, please follow the below steps:

  • Go to the login page by clicking here.
  • Click on the ‘Not Registered? Click here to register’ option.
  • Please select the ADCB Debit Card option.
  • Enter the 16-digit Debit Card number.
  • Enter the four-digit security pin of your Debit Card.
  • Enter your desired password.
  • Re-enter the same password.
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click on register.
  • Enter the OTP you receive and click confirm.

Will I be charged for using ADCB Personal Internet Banking or the ADCB Mobile Banking App?

No, access to ADCB Personal Internet Banking and the ADCB Mobile Banking App is free of charge.

What is ProCash?

ProCash is a corporate banking platform for accessing your business account online and making day-to-day business transactions such as bill payments, salary payments, transfers, etc. For more information on the ProCash solution, please click here.

How do I get access to ProCash?

Do I need to provide a renewed or updated Trade License to ADCB upon expiry?

Yes. It is mandatory to provide a renewed Trade License and update any changes to company activity, ownership or company name with ADCB to ensure that all company information is up to date. Expired Trade License charges of AED 150 per month shall be applicable on the company account if the same is not updated within 30 days of expiry. Failure to provide a renewed Trade License with updated company information may result in blocking or closure of the account.

How can I update a renewed Trade License with ADCB?

You can update renewed Trade License through one of the options below:

  • If there are no changes in ownership or company information:
    • You can update your trade license with us by visiting adcb.com/tl
    • You can update the renewed Trade License through ADCB Mobile Banking or through ProCash Mobile App
  • If there are changes in company information, you need to send all the necessary documents to [email protected] in order to update the company information or visit any ADCB branch with all the necessary documents to update the company information.

Can I upgrade or change between different Business Choice Account packages – Silver, Gold and Platinum?

Yes, you can upgrade or change your Business Choice Account package with applicable corresponding charges and transaction benefits by placing a request at any ADCB Branch.

Can I pay my salaries to my company employees through Wages Protection System (WPS)?

Yes. You can pay salaries to the company employees through ProCash.

If your Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) ID is already updated in our system, you can start using WPS instantly on ProCash.

If your MoHRE ID is not updated, please visit an ADCB Branch and update the MOL Id to enable WPS on ProCash.

Are there any charges for using WPS through ProCash?

There is no charge for WPS salary payments made through ProCash.

How can I cancel the ProCash subscription for my account?

To cancel the ProCash subscription, place a request at any ADCB Branch.

Can I get a finance/Covered Card/Trade Finance facility for my business account?

finance/Covered Card/Trade Finance Facility are unavailable for this business segment. However, if your business is eligible as per the Bank’s criteria, you can upgrade to a Commercial account and enjoy business finances and other facilities as per your eligibility. This will be subject to approval.

How can I use the same mobile to access ADCB Mobile Banking for my personal and Business Choice Account relationships?

Personal and Business Choice Accounts being separate account relationships, they have to be accessed separately. Each account relationship access requires separate registration on the mobile application and since there can be only one instance of the application on a mobile device, only one account relationship can be registered at a time. So two separate mobile devices need to be used to access both the account relationships separately through ADCB Mobile Banking.

Alternatively, you may use one of the options to access the other account, which is not registered on ADCB Mobile Banking –

  • ADCB Internet Banking: You can login to your account at adcb.com using the internet browser in any device.
  • Procash Mobile App: Subscribe to ProCash for your Business Choice Account for a monthly fee to access the account using ProCash Mobile App. Since this is a separate mobile application, the same mobile device can be used for accessing personal account through ADCB Mobile Banking and Business Choice Account through ProCash Mobile App.

In case if you have registered one of the account relationships on your mobile and would like to change to the other account relationship, you will need call our Contact Center to deregister the existing account relationship.

What documents are required to add/delete/change authorized signatory information?

To add/delete/change the authorized signatory information, visit your nearest ADCB Branch with the below documents:

  • Trade license and commercial registration (As applicable)
  • Sale contract in case the details are not mentioned in MOA, if its mentioned so no need for sale contract.
  • Company letter head mentioning all details of request with company stamp and signature of authorized signatory.
  • Power of Attorney (POA) for authorized signatories who are not owners or partners
  • Memorandum of Association (MOA) for LLC companies or Establishment contract for other companies
  • Company address proof
  • Passport or Emirates Identity (for UAE citizens and residents) of authorized signatory and partners (if applicable), including ultimate beneficial owners

  • Company letter request to update operating instruction
  • Trade License and commercial registration (as applicable)
  • Assignment / sale contract
  • Power of attorney (if applicable)
  • Memorandum of Association (MOA)
  • Passport or Emirates Identity (for UAE citizens and residents) of authorized signatory and partners (if applicable), including ultimate beneficial owners

  • Company address proof
  • Passport or Emirates Identity (for UAE citizens and residents) of authorized signatory and partners (if applicable), including ultimate beneficial owners
